I'm Peter. I design interfaces, systems and experiences for things that live on the internet.
Currently based in Lagos Copenhagen London.
Stripe
Stripe is building infrastructure to increase the GDP of the internet. I design experiences for revenue and finance automation, specifically Tax.
Nothing is certain except death and taxes.
Pleo
Pleo builds spend management tools that help companies in Europe process expenses and issue smart virtual and physical company cards to their employees.
At Pleo, I was a senior product designer where I led design direction for payments infrastructure which enabled Pleo’s customers in its 16 markets. From SEPA schemes in Europe to Bacs Direct Debit, Open Banking and VRPs in the UK. Additionally, I worked on Reserve, Pleo’s first credit solution for companies across Europe & the UK.
I also designed experiences for the product-led strategy on onboarding, adoption, growth and retention.
Okra
Okra provides a single, unified Open Banking API that enabled developers to interact with, process, and exchange real-time financial information between customers, applications and banks in Africa.
At Okra, I led design efforts to design Link, Okra’s core product that enables individuals to link their bank accounts with 3rd party applications and on the Okra dashboard that enabled leading enterprise technology businesses to manage financial data on behalf of their customers.
Paystack
Paystack is the Stripe-owned payment processor which processes over 50% of online payments in Nigeria. It provides a quick way for governments, cooperates, fintech, and small businesses to integrate payment services into an online or offline transaction with a single API.
I got to work with the Global payments & Expansion teams to lead the integration of new payment channels such as Apple Pay, SnapScan, and Mastercard across Nigeria and South Africa.
In addition to leading design system efforts to build Pax (Paystack's Design System) - using atomic design principles to lay foundations for tokens and components that improve the designer-developer experience and enable them to build financial software at scale.
Inflow
The real objective with my side projects is to dedicate my time to something that serves three things: something to fixate on, make marginal improvements on, and apply my opinionated nature to something of my own.
Inflow is one of those. I had 10+ different active financial accounts. Tracking balances, debit, and credit transactions across those accounts required having different mobile apps, different web banking credentials and different mobile banking credentials – You can imagine the stress that took.
So I built Inflow with my friends - a personal finance app that made it easy to link all my accounts in one place, track spending patterns, create categories, and budgets to help me stay on top of my financial game.
Turns out that 2,000 people liked and use it too.
